This Week's Sweets


Vanilla cake, topped with fresh strawberry buttercream and cupcake liner flowers. Lemon cake pops. Zeppole - powedered sugar, cinnamon sugar, and chocolate ganache.

Fresh Strawberry Buttercream

1 Cup (2 sticks) Salted Sweet Cream Butter 
4 Cups Powdered Sugar
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla
3 Tablespoons Pureed Strawberries (fresh or frozen)

Cream butter until smooth. With mixer on low speed, gradually add powdered sugar. Beat on low speed until incorporated, scraping sides as needed, then turn mixer to high and beat for another minute or so, until sugar/butter mixture is light and fluffy. Turn off mixer and add vanilla and strawberry puree. Beat on low until incorporated, scraping sides as needed, and then on high for another 30 seconds until well combined. Pipe or spread on cake/cupcakes/cookies...
