Linecké koláčky (AKA Linzer Tortes)

Thinking of adding these to my menu. Any thoughts?

Another one of my hubby's favorites from back home. Two perfectly buttery shortbread cookies, held together by sweet apricot preserves, dusted with confectioner's sugar. The petite cookies are only about 1" round, the larger cookies are about 2 1/2".

Spread the Love...End of February Special

So sad that Valentine's Day is over. Not that my hubby is a romantic, but I do really enjoy the day, and so do my children. We have pink heart shaped pancakes for breakfast, my non-romantical husband always writes me a nice card (this year I even got flowers), and my daughter always writes us cute little valentines on hearts that she cuts out herself. This year my 3 year old son even made us cards. I love it.

So I figured I should spread the love and have an after Valentine's Day February Special.
For the remainder of this LOVEly month, all cookies will be buy 3 dozen and get the 4th free*
You can check out my menu here.
This includes cookies (of any kind - Chocolate Chip, Ginger, Sugar, Snowdrops, etc - if you don't see them on my menu, just email me, I can do any kind of cookie you would like) and it also includes Dipped Brownies and Blondies, Puffed Rice Treats, and Moravian Kolaches.

Happy February. And stay tuned for next month's special...

*2 dozen minimum order per cookie variety

Young Women Values Cupcakes

These were for someone's Young Women activity... Some of the value words were a little too long to fit on the 1" cookie, but we made do!

Chocolate cake with Cookie n' Cream buttercream and "values cookies" toppers.

Tea Party Time

Spring time is approaching (at least that's what I keep telling myself), and it always makes me think of flowers and sunshine and tea parties.
Last Spring my daughter had a tea party. We passed out invites, bought mis-matched tea cups at the second hand store, set the table, made lots of little goodies, and drank "tea" (pink lemonade). She still talks about it. I think she may have enjoyed it even more than her birthday party!
I make a lot of fun treats for tea parties, like cupcakes topped with mini sugar cookies that say "Sugar", "Spice", or "Nice" on them. Or little pink butter cookies. Or puffed rice treats dipped in pink chocolate. The possibilities are endless...
And I will now be carrying tea party prints and invites from the amazingly talented Sarah Jane of Sarah Jane Studios.
You can find these on my table at Oh Sweet Sadie.

Summer Tea Party print (notice the darling pink cupcakes on the table, and the little rabbit helping herself to one of the cupcakes)

Summer Tea Party invites (these come packaged with matching stickers too. Too cute!

Do you remember playing tea party with your stuffed animals? This will also be available in print and cards.

Sea you all there! Can't wait. Oh, and of course my table will be filled with all sorts of goodies!

A nice little shout out...

A while back I did some desserts for the very talented event planner, Brittany Egbert, of One Charming Party. She was featured on Half Baked today and they gave me a nice little shout out as well. Check it out here.
